WHERE DO OUR FUNDS COME FROM?

The Annual Scholarship Golf Outing held in the summer supports our efforts to fund college scholarships and various youth programs. Funds are raised not only by golf entry fees, but corporate sponsorships of golf holes, skills competitions and raffle door prizes.

Child Cancer Campaign program. The child cancer campaign fundraiser will be held Saturday, January 24, 2009 at White Eagle Banquet Hall in Niles. The night consisted of dinner, raffle and live entertainment by the Beatles cover band American English. Optimist International Child Cancer Program.

Our Optimist Raffle raises funds for our other service projects. Members sell raffle tickets for $10.00 each, and lucky raffle winners share cash prizes of up to $1000.00.

The annual Glenview Summer Festival, sponsored by the Glenview Chamber of Commerce, provides another opportunity for our club. Held in June, we sponsor children's games along with spreading the word about the benefits of Optimism.
