The sponsorship of sports programs for the youth Includes baseball, golf, soccer, hockey and football. These sports help build sportsmanship and teamwork among the youth. Another recipient is  the North Suburban Special Recreation Association which helps mentally and physically challenged youth to participate in a variety of sports. In all, over 5,000 children participate in these various sports programs. The Optimist International Junior Golf Championship is contested at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm each Gardens, Florida. The Optimist Club of Glenview provides an opportunity for several male and female golfers, from each area high school, to compete in the Illinois District qualifying tournament in June.
